Spend a summer morning getting muddy, making memories and creating something you’ll both get to keep.
In this relaxed three-hour workshop, you’ll work together to make either a pair of mugs or a pair of bud vases. Once you’ve finished building, you can bring your pieces to life with colour, pattern and decoration using underglazes.
No pottery experience is needed. We’ll guide you through each stage, from turning a lump of clay into a usable form to adding those wonderfully personal finishing touches.
One ticket is for two people and includes two finished pieces.

✔ All clay, tools and equipment
✔ Glazes and firing
✔ Tea, coffee and biscuits
✔ Your finished pieces to collect once they've been fired
Once your mugs or bud vases have taken shape, it’s time to add some personality.
Use our colourful underglazes to decorate your pieces with patterns, pictures, words or simple brushstrokes. Make them matching, give each one its own character or create two completely different designs, it’s entirely up to you.
No artistic experience is needed. We’ll have plenty of ideas and guidance to help you get started.
Your work will need time to dry and be fired after the course. We'll let you know as soon as it's ready to collect.
Pottery is wonderfully unpredictable! While we take every care throughout the firing process, occasionally pieces can crack or break, and unfortunately this is part of working with ceramics.
Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little dusty.
Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
Long hair tied back.
Fingernails are best kept fairly short when working with clay.
